They are in critical condition, but no one is mobilized to help. No one, that is, until a Washington, D.C. resident decides to gather supplies and arrive on scene. That resident was Clara Barton. In 1861, Barton saw the struggling soldiers and found a way to help. After successfully providing support, Barton offered similar assistance throughout the Civil War—often finding herself in the midst of battlefields and dodging cannon fire. Years later, she founded the American Red Cross.Barton was an adept communicator and an energetic, passionate speaker. She earned a loyal following and built relationships by writing letters to soldiers and their families. She was a leader and organizer, facing the logistics of storing supplies and distributing them. She was an advocate, appealing to the public for supplies on behalf of wounded soldiers. But ultimately, Barton was passionate about meeting the needs of other human beings. The Customer Success Manager feels a similar passion for supporting and helping others. The person in this role is driven to connect with people and communicate clearly.
